Obituary

Patricia Ann (Wolfe) Schaffer, 78, of Wellington, passed away June 4, 2025, at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange.

Patty along with her husband, Bob Schaffer, worked for the Lorain County Fair for 30 years before his passing in 2007.  Patty had a love of gardening, which was evident by the beautiful flowerbeds she took care of at the fairgrounds for many years.  She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds, making handmade cards with her sister, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Patty is survived by her sister Gloria (Wolfe) Bissett, children Brenda (Joe) Wetherbee, Mike Schaffer, Susie (Kraig) Reber, grandchildren Justin (Danielle) Wetherbee, JD Schaffer, Tricia Wetherbee, Amber Wetherbee, Mikayla Schaffer, Rebecca Schaffer, Megan Novosielski, Chad Reber, Brad Reber, great grandchildren Chasity Snyder, Peyton Schaffer, Cameron Wetherbee, Kinslee Squire, Rilee Wetherbee, Elliott McDonald and Audrey Ritz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Schaffer, their son, James Joseph Schaffer, parents James and Evajean (Runkle) Wolfe, brother Morris Wolfe and sister-in-law Jean Wolfe.

Arrangements are being handled by Norton-Eastman Funeral Home in Wellington and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Per Patty's wishes, no visitation or services will be held.  A private family service will take place at North Fairfield Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.
