Paul John Bauer, age 97, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at The Willows at Bellevue. He was born July 27, 1917 in Ruggles Twp., Ohio, son of the late William and Katherine (nee Bremser) Bauer. Paul was a 1935 graduate of Ruggles High School. He worked for Moen Faucets for over 40 years. Paul was a member of the Lake Erie Gem & Geological Society, Meddlers Camping Club and St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue. He was an avid golfer, even into his 90's. He is survived by his children, Richard (Nelda) Bauer of St. Cloud, FL, Dennis (Joyce) Bauer of Bellevue, Judy (Howard) Reisig of Woodstock, GA; 5 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Bauer of Tucson, AZ and sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith of New London. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (nee Smith) Bauer, whom he had been married to for 71 years and brothers, Frederick and Albert Bauer. A graveside service will be held 10 am Friday, July 3, 2015 at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Juli Lejman-Guy officiating. A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday, July 6th at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John's Lutheran Preschool, 209 S.W.
