Paul was born February 15th 1982, he was the sixth child out of nine for Norman and Janet (Flory) Dria. Paul was a 2000 Black River graduate. Paul attended Ashland University and graduated with an associate’s degree in 2003. Paul worked at Ashland University in catering and then as a security officer. Paul loved farming, being outdoors and playing with farm toys so he switched to playing with big tractors at Krystowski Tractor Sales, which later became KTS.
Paul was in 4H growing up, Black River FFA, earning the American FFA Degree and Ohio FFA State Degree, and was a Farm Bureau member. On February 13, 2021 Paul married Alecia Macfarlane and they started their own little farm in addition to working on the Norman Dria Family Farms LLC. In 2024, Paul left KTS and started working for Wellington Implement. Paul had a kind heart and was willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
Paul was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He leaves behind: his wife, Alecia Dria; Two children, Aden (Brandi) and Emma Macfarlane; In-laws, Rick and Karen Caswell; Brother-in-law, Aaron (Carly) Caswell; Mother, Janet Dria; Siblings: Jenny (Matt) Barnett, Karl (Joy) Dria, Gus (Hilary) Dria, Mary (Paul) Barger, Roy (Aimee) Dria, Ray (Jamie) Dria, Ted (Beth) Dria, and Wendy (Andy) Dria; Aunts and Uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. at the United Church of Huntington, 26677 State Route 58. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Black River FFA, in memory of Paul Dria, County Road 40, Sullivan, Ohio 44880.
