EASTMAN FUNERAL HOME 419-929-3781 Paul F. Galo of rural New London passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at the Elms Nursing Home in Wellington, he was 78. Mr. Galo was born October 1, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Andrew & Ruby (Markel) Galo. He had resided in Leroy, Ohio and moved to the New London area in 1971. Paul was a 1949 graduate of West Tech High School and proudly served his country with the United States Air Force in Korea. He attended Fort Wayne Bible College for 2 years and went on to work with the FAA Cleveland Flight Service for 41 years. He was a member of the New London Alliance Church, where he had served on the Governing Board and taught Sunday School. Paul is survived by children, James (Kimberly) Galo of Maryville, TN, Melissa (Jerry) Warren of Bristol, VA, Timothy (Patricia) Galo of New London, Mark (Ashley) Galo of Swainsboro, GA, and Rebecca (David) Cribbs of Indianapolis, IN; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Robert of Cleveland, Audrey Lodwick of Medina, Barbara Miller of FL, Rosemary Harmath of N. Royalton, Daniel of MI, Judy Galo of Brunswick, and Raymond of Brunswick. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Hinkel) Galo, and step-mother, Julia Galo. Friends may call at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, December 28. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the New London Alliance Church, 4625 State Rte 162 W. Pastor Howard Bowers will officiate and Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery New London with military honors. Memorials if desired may be made to New London Alliance Church.
