Obituary

Paul E. Hanlin, of Wellington, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Ohio Veteran's Home in Sandusky, at the age of 91. Paul was a 1937 graduate of Tanner High School in West Virginia. He was a life long member of the American Legion of Amherst, Ohio and was an Army veteran of WWII. Paul enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling. He retired in 1981 from Ridge Tool Co. of Elyria. Paul Attended Open Door Church while living in Elyria and Penfield Community Church in Wellington. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marilyn (McDonald); his sisters, Fern Coberly and Phyllis Butler both of WV and Lois Phillips of Idaho; his brother, Bruce Hanlin of Oklahoma; children, Ronald of Amherst, David of Elyria, Nancy Ballas of Virginia, Sandy Spencer of Wakeman, Judy Brennan of Pittsburg, Linda Boise and Vicky Pabon of Wellington; grandchildren, Steven Ballas and Danial Ballas of Virginia, Joann Willinger of Wakeman, Eric Spencer of Wakeman, Jeffery Kunovic of Madison, Melaine Diecek of PA, Christy Pabon and Rusty Simmons of Wellington; great grandchildren, B.J. Herold of OH, Sara Willinger of Wakeman, Jacob Kunovic of PA and Abigail Simmons of Wellington. Paul was preceded by his parents, P.A. and Nillie (Dye)Hanlin; brothers, Dale and Carl and sisters, Donna Whiting and Joann Hanlin. A service for friends and family will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Clarksfield United Methodist Church, 5151 Zenobia Rd., Clarksfield. Pastor Tom Keller will officiate; arrangements were entrusted to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington, Ohio.
