Paul Richard Kovac, Jr., born March 20, 1944, in Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 81. He is survived by his sister, Linda Potts; stepsisters, Bobby Tewell and Charlotte Buffington; and stepbrother, David Starcher. He is also survived by his children: Paul R. (Pauline) Kovac III, Jason D. (Heather) Kovac, Angela L. (Greg) Bogan, and Josh H. (Jessica) Kovac, along with many grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ada J. (Skiver) Kovac, and his son, Eric M. Kovac.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life, he worked in various occupations, including machinist, insurance salesman, press operator, and owner of his own painting company. Above all, his most cherished and important role was caring for his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paul’s life on Friday, February 13th at Norwalk Alliance Church, 2755 US 250 N, with a viewing from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m., with Marcus Collins officiating. At approximately 1:30 p.m., the procession will move to Woodlawn Cemetery for interment. A luncheon will follow at Norwalk Alliance Church.
