Paul F. Winiarski, 75, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born November 13, 1940, in South Amherst and grew up there later graduating from South Amherst High School in 1958. After graduation, Paul served his country as part of the Army 82nd Airborne. He later married the love of his life, Judi (Curtis) and together they shared 52 years of marriage. They spent most of their years in New London before retiring to Ashland.
Paul cherished his family and friends and enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles and Keno. He was a talented carpenter and had built many birdfeeders. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Paul worked construction for many years and retired in 1997 from the Labors Local #758 in Lorain. He was also a member of the American Legion and G.I. Forum in Rockport, Texas; 82nd Airborne Association in Cleveland and Eagles and VFW in Ashland.
In addition to his loving wife Judi; Paul is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Jason) Sword of New London, Christina (John) Mitchell of New London and Debra Henry of Norwalk; grandchildren, Carolina (Andy) Shelly, Stephen Anderson, Angela Anderson, Colton Sword, Ashley Novosielski, Samantha Novosielski, Sarah Mitchell, Morgan Mitchell, Julia Mitchell, Noah Henry and Luke Henry; great grandchildren, Madexx, Reid, Jonathan and Jade; siblings, Bill Winiarski, Ronald Winiarski and Lois McCue and dear friend William Kirby. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Catherine (Meisner) Winiarski; siblings Chuck, Delores, Geraldine, Sylvester and Patricia and grandson Paul.
The family will greet friends from 2-8 pm Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Eastman Funeral Home, New London where a service will be held Monday at 11 am with Paul's good friend Dan Ux officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express their gratitude for the expert care Paul received from the nurses at Fisher-Titus Medical Center and Stein Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Paul's love for watching children play baseball to The New London Little League, 6164 Route 162 East, New London, OH 44851.
