Obituary

Pauline M. Simonson Hines McKisson, 99, died Wednesday, August 25 at Allen Community Hospital in Oberlin. Pauline was born on April 3, 1911 in Huntington, where she resided for 19 years before moving to Wellington. Pauline was a member of the Jolly Senior Craft Club where she helped make the senior quilts and crafts. She also helped fold the Senior Citizens Newsletter once a month and enjoyed attending the monthly senior luncheons. A ceramic teacher, Pauline gave classes for 20 years. She worked at the 5 & 10 Store and Moore Cleaners for 20 years and at Mary Lee Dress Shop for 11 years before retiring in 1979. Pauline was loved and will be greatly missed by her family, her beloved poodle, Brandy and many friends. Survivors include her children, Jerry and Nell Hines, of Rochester, Jean Leiter, of Wooster, Lois and Earl Riley, of Wellington, Larry and Cheryl Hines, of Brighton, Norman and Lana Hines, of Greenville, Ronnie Thompson, of Florida, Claude and June Thompson, of Westlake and Dan Thompson, of Arizona; brother, Bill Simonson; 12 grandchildren, Debbie and Bill Sutterlin, of Perrysville, Connie Reynolds and Mike Lupole, of Wooster, Julie Leiter, of Wooster, Cyndi and Chris Czernec, of Oberlin, Diane and Biff Yeager, of Wellington, Russell Hines, of Texas, Eric Hines, of Texas, Tina and Larry Hagen, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Andrean Hunsel, of St. Peters, Missouri, Dean and Cindi Stanfield, of Sandusky, and Chris Stanfield, of Brighton; 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Pauline is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McKisson; brothers, Claude, George, Lyle, Don and Harry Simonson and grandson, Robbie Reynolds. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29 from 2-5 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Friends will also be received Monday at the Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. The Funeral Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lea Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. Donations in memory of Pauline can be sent to the Wellington Senior Bus, 115 Willard Memorial Sq., Wellington, OH 44090.
