Peggy Sue Bohland

Peggy Sue Bohland, 70, died on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Samaritan Hospital. Born on January 3, 1956, Peggy was a lifelong Ashland County resident and attended Ashland High School. On September 20, 1974, Peggy married the love of her life Terry Bohland.

An STNA, Peggy worked at many nursing homes throughout her career in healthcare. She loved watching her soap operas and listening to Elvis. Peggy was an avid sports fan, who especially enjoyed baseball and the Browns.

She is survived by her loving sons, Peter, Dale Robert, and Steven Bohland, all of Ashland; granddaughter, Jayanna, and siblings, Bill Watkins, of Sullivan, and Betty Kiser, of Ashland. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Terry, in 2017; parents, Hazel Lavern (nee Brooks) Butler and Thurman Gillespi Watkins; and siblings, Louella Watkins, George Felver, and Kay McWilliams.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 14, from 4-7 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where services will be held on Tuesday, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Nova Cemetery.
