Peggy A. Ritchie, 78, of Norwalk, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, September 4, 2025.  She was born on March 19, 1947, in Galion, Ohio to the late Dewey and Kathleen (Merwine) Summerfield, and attended Norwalk High School.

Peggy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Trips and going out to dinner with her loving husband of over 61 years, Walter G. Ritchie built cherished memories, and following and supporting her children and grandchildren's academic and athletic endeavors were a passion of hers.

Peggy cleaned for many area businesses for many years including Citizen's Bank, Norwalk Clinic, GTE Telephone Company, Battles Insurance Agency, R & D, and the Ernsthausen Recreation Center.

In addition to her husband of 61 ½ years, Walter G. Ritchie, Peggy is also survived by their children, Gary L. (Renee) Ritchie of Dayton, OH, Robin A. (Larry) Risner of Norwalk, Brenda K. (Brian) Moore of Norwalk, and Walter "Wally" G. (Vickie) Ritchie of Norwalk; her brother, Ronald L. Summerfield of Kentucky; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and uncle, John Summerfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dewey James Ritchie.

Friends and family are invited to her visitation on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
