Phillip L. Egnor Sr., age 76, of New London died on December 11, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hamlin, West Virginia, on March 5, 1947, to the late Ernie and Elsie Pearl (Stowers) Egnor, he graduated from Duval High School in Griffithsville, West Virginia in 1965. Soon after graduation, Phillip moved to Ohio, residing in Cleveland and Elyria before settling in New London.

Phillip was a truck driver for over forty years, retiring in 2013 from Wooster Motor Ways. He enjoyed working in the yard and was an avid gardener who loved to preserve the fruits of his labor through canning. He also enjoyed a good cup of coffee any time of day and playing the Powerball. The most important thing to Phillip, however, was his family. Phillip treasured his large family; his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were loved beyond measure and cherished beyond words.

Left to cherish Phillip's memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Lani (Carroll); children, Johnny (Becky) Banks of Elyria, Phillip Jr. (Dawn) Egnor of Elyria, Timothy Egnor of Lorain, Jeffrey Egnor of Lorain, Kim (Jennifer) Carroll of Berlin Heights, Davina (Gerry) Sipes of New London, and Steven (Sherry) Egnor of Cleburne, TX; siblings, Jimmy (Bonnie) Egnor of Hamlin, WV, Benny (Myrtle) Egnor of North Royalton, Paulette Egnor of Hamlin, WV, Bernard (Midge) Egnor of Madison, WV, Carson (Kay) Egnor of Yawkey, WV, and Fred (Donna) Egnor of Hamlin, WV; 27 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Elsie Pearl Egnor; a daughter, Mallisa Kurta; and siblings, Thelma Jean Cooper, Sue Breedlove, and Carl Egnor.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Monday, December, 18, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, OH 44851. A funeral service will begin immediately following visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Ted Mason Officiating. There will be no burial at this time.
