Phyllis J. DeHaven, 92, of Norwalk, Ohio passed Saturday, March 2, 2024, at her residence.  She was born July 4, 1931, in Quincy, Illinois to the late Bernice (Tucker) and Frank G. Kroeger.  Mrs. DeHaven worked at Motorola in California. She moved to the Fitchville/Norwalk area in 1976 and worked as a bartender at the Branding Iron and Riverside Tavern in Clarksfield, Ohio.

She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and was strong in her faith and loved her Lord. Mrs. DeHaven loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, dancing, spending time outside, and loving and feeding stray animals.  She had a true passion for thrift shopping and garage sales.

Mrs. DeHaven is survived by her children, David (Betty) DeHaven, Gwen Dunlap, Sherry Baum, Kimberly DeHaven and Deborah (Isadore) Steffanni along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren, Kurt (Linda) DeHaven, John (Jill) DeHaven, Joyce (Mike) Kanaby and Janet Teeters.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Jack Carlyle DeHaven; son, Danny DeHaven; brother, Donald Harmon and sister, Betty Kroeger Burley.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6,2024, from 12 noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Prong officiating.
