Phyllis J. Heald, 78, of Huron, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021 at Kingston Nursing Home in Vermilion.  She was born on March 14, 1942 in Clarsksville, Ohio to the late Harley and Laura Penwell and was an area resident most of her life.

Phyllis was a loving homemaker, helping to raise her children.  She later worked several various jobs throughout the years, many in foodservice.  She also taught Sunday School and was a V.B.S. teacher at the First Church of Christ in Norwalk.  She enjoyed watching Richard Gere and Patrick Swayze movies and loved to listen to George Jones and cherished any time spent with her family.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Laura (Tom) Klepper of Huron, Ohio, Robert (Debbie Slagle) Heald of Norwalk, Ohio, sisters; Helen (Darrell) Arbogast of Norwalk, Ohio, Mary Jo Tolle of Norwalk, Ohio, Ruby Ratliff of Vermilion, Ohio, and Nancy (Paris) Perkins of Kentucky, seven grandchildren; Dawn, (Ronald) Casalinova, Patty Klepper, Erin (Michael) Gutshall, Zachary, Connor, Rhyder and Lily Heald; two great-grandchildren; Ronnie and Allie Casalinova as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Heald Sr.; sons, Clifford Roy Heald a.k.a. "Little Clifford" and Walter E. Heald, Jr.; and siblings, Butch, Roy, and Robert Penwell.

An inurnment is being planned for a later date in North Fairfield Cemetery along with her late husband and son.  There will be a visitation at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home on Saturday, February 27 from 11:00 am until the time of the noon memorial service.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or the American Cancer Society, Ohio Division, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
