Phyllis May Simmons, 88, of Wellington died Saturday, November 03, 2012 at the Elms Retirement Village. Born on July 16, 1924, in Elyria, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lucille (nee Wilcox) Forbush. Phyllis adored her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She loved animals of all kinds. Phyllis served as a 4H leader with the Stablemates for over 40 years. Survivors include her son, Glenn (Linda) Rising and daughter, Kathryn (Garry) Starr, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Simmons, sister, Lottie Secrest, and brothers, Gorden and Lenn Forbush. Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 5, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev.
