IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Polly Mae
(Hartman) Murray
November 28, 1952 – July 3, 2023
Polly Mae Murray, 70, of New London, OH and most recently of Roseville, OH, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Altercare Nursing Home, Zanesville, OH. She was born on November 28, 1952, in New London, OH, the daughter of Leroy and AnnaMae (Carroll) Hartman.
Polly was a lady of many talents. There was nothing she could not sew. Her love of sewing led her to jobs where she could use her talent. Her children recall a Christmas where she handmade all their gifts. Polly also had the voice of an angel. She sang in churches around Ohio and loved to share her testimony of how God restored her voice from an illness that she was not to recover from. She was also a collector of all things. She never let a good yard sale pass her by. Lastly, to know Polly was to love her. She loved without judgement, cared without reason, and accepted without question. Polly and her late husband, Gary, attended Ready or Not Ministries in Savannah, OH. She most recently attended The Word of God Community Church, in Roseville, OH. Polly was a 1971 graduate of New London High School, New London, OH.
Polly is survived by her children, Richard (Agnes) Murray, St. Petersburgh, FL, Tamra (Dan Lucas) Gillogly, Roseville, OH, Jeremy "Todd" Murray, New London, OH, and Thresa (Rick) Blystone, New London, OH; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Hartman, Harry (Patty) Hartman, William (Julie) Tackett, Emmitt (Linda) Tackett, Paul Hernadez; sisters, Rosemary Moyer, Elizabeth Hartman-Swartz, Pauline Hughes; several nieces and nephews; along with special friends, Janice Griggs, Nancy Nunley, Wendy Broceus, Paula Bryant, and Bonnie Faulkner.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary in 2020 and her infant sister, Pearl Hartman.
