Randy Hamilton, Sr., 51, of Greenwich, died Friday, June 26, 2009 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He lived most of his life in the New London and Greenwich areas. Randy worked for the former Ohio Body Manufacturing of New London and the Brooker Bros Forging Co. Inc. in Norwalk for many years. In his spare time you could find him working on anything that had an engine. His greatest enjoyment each year was his garden. Survivors include his mother, Fatima Steele of Greenwich; daughter, Amanda Hamilton of New London; son, Randy Hamilton, Jr. of Norwalk; 3 granddaughters, Kalie Kidd, Karman Kidd, and Taleah Snyder all of New London; and fiancie, Judy Hale. He is also survived by his siblings, Georajean (Perry) Lester of New London, Sonja Gore of Greenwich, Renee (Dale) Lester of Greenwich, Rick (Linda) Hamilton of New London, Mike (Judy) Hamilton of Wisconsin, and Robert (Kari) Steele, Jr. of Tiffin. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Newberry 'Evert' Hamilton, step father, Robert Steele, Sr., and brother-in-law, Ron Gore. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London with a funeral service Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.
