Raymond O. Cook, 93, of Norwalk, Ohio, departed this life on January 23, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on January 17, 1932, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late George H. Cook Sr. and Jennie Ferguson Cook. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lillie M. Cook and brother, George H. Cook Jr.

He retired after 30 years from Tenneco Automotive. He was a man of community and always there to lend a helping hand.

He leaves behind four children, Walter B. Wade of Mansfield, OH, Evelyn J. Wade of Norwalk, OH, Jacquelyn Wade Hatchett of Parma, OH and John Rodney Cook (Brandi) of Norwalk, OH; one sister, Lottie Cook; 11 grandchildren, Tyrone, Tamera, Walter, Likkia, Steven, John, Courtney, Jessica, Aaron, Darian and Makayla; Tywan, first of 19 great grandchildren; four sisters in law, one brother in law, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to immediately follow, beginning at 1 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, OH. Interment will conclude at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk.
