Raymond J Steffanus

Raymond J. Steffanus, 71, of Mansfield, Ohio, died on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Stein Hospice Care Facility in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on July 8, 1955, in Norwalk, Ohio. He graduated from Wellington High School, the class of 1974.

Raymond is a former employee of Forrest City Technologies in Wellington. Most recently he worked on the grounds crew at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Norwalk where he enjoyed mowing.

A hard worker, Raymond enjoyed being outdoors. He owned and operated his own farm. In addition to farming, Raymond enjoyed collecting model airplanes and spending time with his dog Tsume.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Debra (Vanderpool) Steffanus, of Mansfield, OH; daughter, Shannon Steffanus of Chicago, IL; and his sister, Sue Vernon of Norwalk, OH. Raymond was preceded in death by mother, Joan (Stegman) Steffanus and sister, Loretta Cesare.
