Rebecca Mae Hanlon, 71, of Wellington, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at New Life Hospice in Lorain. Born on September 25, 1952, in Elyria, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (nee Schmidkons) and Glenn Hanlon. Rebecca graduated from Wellington High School in the 1970s. Always a Duke, Rebecca was often seen cheering on the team in her favorite colors, maroon and white.

Rebecca retired from the Wellington McDonalds after many years of customer service. In her spare time, Rebecca could be found shopping at Goodwill in Willard or enjoying her favorite restaurants. She had a special place in her heart for cats and also loved to make afghans for others.

Left to treasure her memory are her aunts, Phylis Brotherton and Myrna Schmidkons.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington, 127 Park Place, Wellington, OH 44090.
