Rebecca Ann Peterson, 62, of Norwalk, died Friday, July 12, 2019, at home, surrounded by her family. Born on November 23, 1956 in Massillon, she was the daughter of Richard and Francis (nee Robinson) Edwards. Rebecca lived in the Norwalk area most of her life.

Rebecca worked for Industrial Powder Coating for 15 years. She volunteered with Faces of Hope. Rebecca enjoyed painting, sewing, and coloring. She will also be remembered for her love of listening to Michael Jackson.

Survivors include her children Christina Peterson, Dewayne (Amy) Peterson, Joshua (Mandy) Peterson, and Jason Peterson; grandchildren Robert, Shelbi, Jackson, Isaac, Keyin, Rowen, Hoyt, Nicholas, Benjamin, Ella, Cassidy, Jace, Aiyanna, and Zakoda; her companion, Gary Frank Schnell II; siblings Robin (Bill), Julie (Karla), and Melvin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rebecca was preceded in death by Marilyn and Dewayne Peterson, who raised her, and her sister Rhonda.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 16, from 4-7 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main, Norwalk, where services will be held on Wednesday, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
