Norwalk, Ohio - Renita Ruby Hayes-Butler, 61, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. She was born on February 20, 1958, in Lake City, Tennessee to Doris (Byrd) Hayes and the late Hershel Hayes. Renita loved music, dancing, her Lord and Savior, and most of all her family.

An advocate for honesty, faith, and human rights, she did her best to instill these values in anyone who was close to her. Extremely passionate about her beliefs, she used her passion as fuel to motivate and build up her surroundings. Her personality was resounding in any environment.

She is survived by her mother, Doris, 5 sisters, by her husband, Richard, by their 3 children, Justin, Brendan and Elisa, by 7 grandchildren, and many adoring nieces and nephews.  Renita was preceded in death by her father Hershel, and by her brother Larry.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Pastor Todd Nielsen will officiate.  Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights, Ohio.
