Rhonda Lynn Goetz Smith, 57, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on December 3, 1953 in Oberlin to Richard and Phyllis (nee Hawley) Goetz, Sr., Rhonda grew up in Wellington and graduated with the class of 1972. Rhonda worked as a manger at Turfcare Supply Corporation, formerly LesCo, in Brunswick. Rhonda loved her animals, especially her dog, and enjoyed traveling, swimming and working in her flower garden. Most importantly, Rhonda held precious the time she spent with her children and grandkids. Survivors include her children, Terry 'T.J.' Goble, Jr. and Brandy (Brent) Goble-Meyer, both of Wellington; grandchildren, Gavin Meyer and Jaylin Meyer; her mother, Phyllis Goetz; siblings, Richard (Jenny) Goetz, Jr., Don (Lisa) Goetz, Kenny (Stacy) Goetz, Leanne Wright, Shane (Ginny) Goetz, John Goetz, and Rochelle Goetz. Rhonda was preceded in death by her grandson, Gage Meyer, and her father, Richard Goetz, Sr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington and again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Friday at the Funeral Home. Pastor David Goble will officiate and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
