Obituary

Richard L. 'Dick' Brush, 67, of Wellington passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at St. John West Shore from a chronic respiratory disorder. He was born on October 25, 1941 in Bay Village to the late Donald Albert and Elizabeth Brush and attended Bay Village High School. Dick's legacy lives on with his Gift of Sight through eye donation. For 40 years he worked freelance as a dry wall finisher. He loved doing yard work and watching the Browns play football. Dick was also an avid Indians fan. He is survived by his children, Shelley (Mark) Halas of Vermilion and Richard Todd (Arleen) Brush of Grafton; 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Lindsey and Daniel; his twin brother, Donald (Karen) Brush of West Lake and his sister, Candy (Bob) Leavens of Lakeland, FL. Dick was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Sandra. Friends and family will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington; where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Burial will follow at the Penfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Northern Ohio Chapter, 902 Westpoint Parkway, Suite 300, Cleveland, OH 44145.
