Richard G. Crisp, age 86, of Ashland, died Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Hospice of North
Central Ohio, Ashland after a lengthy illness. He was born February 25, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, son of the late George Thomas and Ferril Margaret (Christensen)Crisp.
Richard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Serving as a missionary with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he lived in many areas building churches. He moved to the Marian, Ohio area in 1949, then back to Utah, to Ohio in 1951, to Bloomington, Indiana in 1962, then Michigan, Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Richard started Crisp Construction in 1971 in Virginia until moving back to Utah in 1991. He had lived in the Mansfield and Ashland areas since 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Paramore) Crisp, whom he married in May 1951; his children, Jeff (Terri) Crisp, Glenna Dahl, Loretta (Jim) Griffin, Brian Crisp; 11
grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; his 3 brothers, Tom (Norma) Crisp, Ted
(Marilyn) Crisp, Morris (Jean) Crisp; his sisters, Marian Lorensen, Colleen Paxman,
Dorothy Forbes, Rose (Vernon) Bosh. He was preceded in death by his son in law, Warren Dahl and daughter in law, Michelle Crisp, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Friends may call from 6:30 ' 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich. Funeral services will be held in Mt.
