Richard "Dick" Cumberledge, 80, of Norwalk, died February 1, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 27, 1937, in Wallace, West Virginia, son of the late Howard and Irene (nee Hurst) Cumberledge. Richard enjoyed fishing in the Vermillion River, hunting, and going to basketball and softball games. He was a "tough old bird", who will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Pamela; children, Richard Cumberledge, Gary (MaryAnn) Cumberledge; brothers, Larry Cumberledge, Michael Glen, Keith Cumberledge; 8 grandchildren, Jared, Brooke, Scott, Amanda, Eric, Sarah, Morgan, Julia; great-grandchild, Aimee Cumberledge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Mitchell in 2007. Friends and Family will be received on Sunday, February 4, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, from 5-7pm, where a service will be held on Monday at 11am with Evangelist Charles Mead officiating.
