Richard Allen "Dick" Kelley, 67, of New London, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. A son of the late Eugene and Dorothy (nee Walczak) Kelley, Dick was born on November 5, 1946 in Sandusky. He grew up in Milan and resided in Huron and Norwalk before moving to New London in 1991. Dick was a graduate of the 1965 Milan High School class. From 1966 until 1969, while stationed in Germany, Dick proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Dick was a surveyor for the State of Ohio Department of Transportation for 22 years until his retirement in 2003. He was involved in the founding group of the Norwalk Strawberry Festival. Spending time with his family and walking through the woods were two past times that Dick cherished. He also loved to fish. Survivors include his loving wife, Jon, whom he married on May 9, 1991; daughter, Erin (Ray) Blevins, of Sandusky; son, Todd (Suzanne) Fulton, of Texarkana, TX; grandsons, Jared and Lukas Walker, of New London and granddaughters, Hannah Piatt and Rachel Fulton, of TX. Richard is also survived by two brothers, David (Sherry) Kelley, of Norwalk and Tim (Jenny) Kelley, of Wakeman and nieces, Kristina Frye and Melissa Kelley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial with military rites will follow at Grovestreet Cemetery, New London.
