Richard Lloyd Gray, age 87, of Wakeman, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at his home. He was born December 25, 1923 in Hagerstown, Indiana, son of the late Russell and Sarah (Lawrence) Gray. He was a 1941 Greenfield High School graduate. Mr. Gray served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1988 after 28 years. He was a member of the North Fairfield House of Prayer and the Church of God in Amherst. Mr. Gray was a 30 year member of AA, a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Naper-Gray; his daughter, Diane Gray of Indiana; 2 grandchildren; his sister, Hilda Gray of Greenfield, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his daughter and son in law, Diana and Harry Rager and brother Fred Gray. Friends may call from 12:00 ' 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the North Fairfield House of Prayer, St. Rt. 162 (next to N.F. American Legion) where funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Clouse officiating. Military rites to follow after service.
