Richard Alan Greene, 56, of Sullivan died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Born on March 9, 1960 in Oberlin, Richard was the son of the late Tom and Janet (nee Elbert) Greene. He spent his early life in Kipton. He was a graduate of Firelands High School and lived most of his life in northern Ohio.
Following graduation, Richard served in the United States Navy for four years at Annapolis. He retired from the Medina Post Office. Richard will be remembered as quick and witty, and his sarcastic sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping trips up to the cabin in Michigan. Most of all Richard cherished his family and enjoyed time with his wife, his kids and his grandkids.
Survivors include his loving wife, Angela (nee Gerbasi); children Ryan (Sarah) Greene, of Vermilion, Mallory (Eric) Coleman, of Park City UT, and Kyra (Michael) Wood, of Highland Home AL; several grandchildren; siblings Kevin (Antonio Padial) Greene, of CA, Karen (Rick) Riggin, of Norwalk, Tom (Mary)Greene, of AL, Susan (Ben) Bonaminio, of Amherst, Mary Greene of Kipton, Bill Greene, of North Ridgeville, and Amy (Charlie) Tarbert, of Ontario.
