Obituary

Richard M. "Dick" Vogt, 80, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 in Twilight Gardens Home, Norwalk, Ohio.  He was born on August 4, 1939 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Robert T. and Ruth E. (Filkins) Vogt, and was a life long are resident of both Norwalk and Collins, Ohio.  Richard graduated from Norwalk High School and worked over 30 years for GTE Corporation, and over 35 years as a Norwalk volunteer firefighter.  He enjoyed bowling, playing the slots at the casino, occasionally fishing, and traveling with the Senior Bowling Group to Las Vegas, Reno, and Australia. Dick was a member of the Firefighter's Association, Senior Bowling Group and the Bowling Association.

He is survived by his daughters, Tonia (John) Warner and Cheryl (Danny) Dotson, both of Norwalk, Ohio, by his niece, Sara (Kevin) Ebel of Wisconsin, by his 3 grandchildren, Kadie, Lyndie, and Celina, by his great-grandchildren, Corbin and Brynnlee , Jake, and Annabelle.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. Vogt in 2016, by his daughters, Terri Stevens, and Laura Vogt, and by his sister, Roberta Fassler.

A graveside visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Meadowgreen Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd. Huron, Ohio 44840, where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be expressed by going to www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com.
