Richard M. Raab, 81, of Wellington, died Monday, April 28, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family. Born on February 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary Raab. Richard was a lifelong Wellington resident and a 1962 graduate of Wellington High School.
Richard proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dairy farmer for most of his life. After retiring from farming, Richard worked at Wellington Implement and DAD's Electric. He was a life member of the Wellington VFW. Richard also enjoyed attending local high school sports events. He was a talented woodworker and built numerous wagons and bookcases. Through farming he enjoyed collecting tractors and farm equipment.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Bernadine "Bernie" Raab; step children, Wayne Daniel and Samantha Taylor; grandchildren, David, Mike, Ashley, Dominic, and Asia; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Nichols, Keith Raab, and Kenny Raab, and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his brother Leo Raab and daughter-in-law, Julie Daniel.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 2, from 4-7 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at St Patrick Catholic Parish. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
