Richard T. Roberts, 68, of Spencer, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Hospice of Medina County at the Inn. Richard was born in Spangler, PA on August 31, 1943 to the late Joe and Marie (nee Sheridan) Roberts. He grew up in the Patton, PA area and later moved to the Cleveland area in the mid 60s. He eventually ended up in the Wellington area for the past 30 years. Richard was a proud member of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the Wellington VFW, the American Legion and the AMVets. He was also a member of the Eagles Arie 2051. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Richard retired from Ford as a foreman. After retirement he worked at Harrison Ford in Wellington selling cars and at Forest City. In his free time he mowed grass for the local golf course. Richard is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Finan) Roberts; his sons, Rodney Roberts, of Wellington, Don (Jennifer) Roberts, of Hiram, and Rick (Betsy) Roberts, of Bowling Green. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Harold. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 27 at 11 a.m. at the Penfield Community Church, 40775 State Route 18.
