Obituary

Richard "Dick" Ross, of Howland Township in Warren Ohio, died early Monday morning at Keystone Pointe, Lagrange. He was born on September 29, 1928 to the late Willard and Eva (nee Hassler) Ross. Dick grew up in Plymouth, OH and Graduated from Plymouth High School in 1946, when he joined the Navy as an electronics technician aboard the USS Manchester light cruiser during its deployment in the Mediterranean. After the service, he graduated from Purdue University with a BS degree in electrical engineering and worked as an engineer at Packard Electric in Warren for forty years. Dick was a member of North Mar Missionary Alliance church in Warren, where he and his wife were baptized in 2009. They professed their faith in Jesus Christ as having sacrificed himself for their sins, so they could have everlasting life. He sang in the church choir and they participated in many church group activities. Dick enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his wife and family. Survivors include son, Richard A (Jr.) and wife Lois G (Nee Shaffer); granddaughter, Rachel E. Ross of Wellington; sons, Steven W. of Oberlin, Kevin C. and wife Randy (Nee Conti) Ross of Cincinnati; granddaughter, Amanda & husband Scott Ulrich; 3 great granddaughters of Wyoming, OH and Grandson Nathan Ross and wife Cathleen with two great grand-sons of Lebanon, OH.
