Richard F. “Dick” Schulte, died on March 19, 2026 under hospice care at The Abbewood in Elyria. On December 15, 1942, Dick was born in Cleveland to the late Henry and Sarah Magdalene (Schumann) Schulte.

An OSU graduate, he was proud to be part of the OSU ROTC infantry and was commissioned from 1964-1970 in the United States Army.

Dick was an agronomist and worked 50 years in the farm service business, including at Iowa State. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah “Sally” Schulte; children, Leah Anne (Duane) Driggers, of Buffalo, North Dakota, Richard “Rich” Carlton Schulte, of Woodbury, Minnesota, and Stephan Robert Schulte, of Washington, D.C. and two grandchildren, Richard Joseph and Johanna Sophia. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Henry.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, April 14 from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington with Rev. Garrett Buvinghausen officiating. A private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military rites.
