Robert "Bob" A. Ingersoll, 86, of Norwalk, passed away, Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center after a brief illness.

Bob was born on February 25, 1936, in Norwalk to the late Ivan and Irene (Brauer) Ingersoll Hafner.

Bob was the owner and operator of RA Ingersoll Building and Remodeling. He as an avid outdoorsman. Bob also enjoyed farming, going to auctions, and antique tractor shows. He was a member of the American Legion and Eagles for 47 years.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jean (Thomas) Ingersoll; daughters, Sheila Ingersoll, Cheryl (Dennis) Seifker, Diana (Scott) Hall, Terrie (Dale) Hopkins, Brenda (Carl) Osborn; sons, David (Joyce) Stewart and Robert (Crystal) Ingersoll; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Rich Ingersoll and Ron Ingersoll.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Ingersoll, and another brother in infancy.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. The funeral service will be in the funeral home on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11 am. The burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
