Robert D. “Bob” Byrant, 92, of Wellington died Friday, February 13, 2026, at Rae-Ann Nursing Facility, Westlake. He was born June 8, 1933, in Oberlin to the late Gertrude (Davis) and Charles Bryant. Bob was a lifelong resident of the Oberlin, Pittsfield and Wellington area. While in high school Bob played on the Oberlin football and track teams, setting records that still stand today. He worked for Clark Brothers Builders until he ventured out on his own starting Bryant Builders just after the Pittsfield tornado. Bob was baptized on September 12, 1987 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed attending or watching Ohio State football games, doing jigsaw puzzles, and loved attending the Lorain County Fair.
Bob is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara (Coffman) Bryant; daughters, Karen (Keith) Luttrell of Oberlin and Lynn (Paul) Milligan of North Carolina, Jennifer (Keith) Powers, of New London, Julie (David) Scheub, of South Carolina; grandchildren, Paul Jr, Joshua, David, Dylan, Courtney, Ashley, and Emily; several great grandchildren; Brother, Harry (Linda) Bryant of Medina; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Bryant; sons, Michael and Neil Bryant; sisters, Zelma Brandau and Marilyn Hall.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, 615 West Herrick Ave, Wellington, 44090 with burial taking place at Pittsfield Cemetery.
