Robert Eugene Channel was born June 12, 1937 to Clyde and Ireta (Swope) Channel. He was a lifetime resident of Sullivan, Ohio, graduating from Sullivan High School.

Robert was a kind and gentle man who was willing to help anyone in need. He began farming on the Swope family farm at the age of 14 and continued the rest of his life. He enjoyed listening to sports, being an avid Indians, Browns and OSU fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William. He will be missed by his brother, Don (Barbara) of Spencer; his loving nephews, Greg (Darla) of Lewis Center, Ohio and Tim (Diane) of Spencer.

A private burial will be held at Sullivan Southview Cemetery.
