Obituary

Robert "Bob" Crumrine, age 92, of New London, died peacefully Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, New London. He was born December 6, 1920 in Nova, son of the late Forest Glen and Sarah Marie (Crittenden) Crumrine. Bob was a 1938 graduate of Nova High School. He lived in New London since the early1940's. He was a carpenter who worked for Reynolds Lumber Yard and then Jennings and Churella Construction Co. until his retirement in 1985. Bob was a 50 year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 744 and a member of the New London United Methodist Church. Bob delivered for Meals on Wheels and food baskets for the Salvation Army. In 1993, he was named New London Citizen of the Year. He enjoyed swimming and ice skating. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Mary) Crumrine of Milan and Scott Crumrine of New London and 1 granddaughter, Kristi Crumrine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Crumrine in 1997, brothers, Donald and Dane Crumrine, sister, Frances Robertson. Friends may call from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with his nephew Rev. Toby Thomas and Rev. Ben Black officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London. Memorials if desired may be made to the New London United Methodist Church, 58 East Main Street, New London, Ohio 44851 or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
