Robert L. Greenbank, age 68, of Wellington, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at the
Elms Retirement Village, Wellington after a lengthy illness. He was born March 25, 1941 in Lodi, Ohio. He was a 1959 graduate of Wellington High School. He graduated from the Oberlin School of Commerce and then went on to Kent State University where he graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration and received his C.P.A. License in 1970. He had served in the U.S. Army from 1961 ' 1964. Robert had lived most of his adult life in Akron. He had worked at Edward Barr & Associates in Akron as a C.P.A. for many years. Robert enjoyed working and his family.
He is survived by his siblings, Karen (Walter) Sabin of Wakeman, Shirley (Gerald) Sheffield of New London, Carol (Alan) Lacko of Elyria, Arthur (Karen) Gingery of Norwalk, Bonnie (Jim) Richards, Kathy Gingery and Melody Gingery all of Wakeman; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Greenbank, his mother, Frances (Manning) Gingery and his step-father, Lawrence Gingery.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at East Creek Cemetery, New London. Memorials if desired may be given to the Elms Retirement Village Activities Dept., 136 South Main St., Wellington, Ohio 44090.
