Robert L. Hecht passed away on June 19th at the age of 88. Bob was born on December 27, 1929 in Chester, Illinois where he resided until moving with his family to Jackson, MO where he graduated from high school in 1947. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1951. Upon discharge, he was employed by the U.S. Fidelity and Guaranty until he retired in 1991 as Assistant Controller. Over the years he resided in North Olmsted, OH, Towson, MD, and Wellington, OH. During his lifetime, Bob was an avid musician participating in school bands as well as numerous dance bands and combos. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and golf (he was especially proud of his 2 hole-in-ones!) He is survived by his wife of 61 years Janet Lieb, daughters Renee (Carl) Keith, Lisa Hecht, granddaughters Jessica (Brian) Clark, Tiffany (Chris) Curren, Brianna Keith, and great-grandchildren Caitlyn, Joseph, and Vivienne. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Elsa Hecht and his brother Roger. Private graveside services will be conducted at a future date to be determined.
