Robert M. McKinney, Sr. died on Saturday, August 16, 2025 under the care of hospice at the age of 87. On January 18, 1938, he was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to Richard and Anna (nee Crest) McKinney.

Robert worked at US Steel in Lorain for many years. He loved restoring cars, watching and reading old westerns, and enjoyed wrestling on TV.

He is survived by his 3 children, Robert (Wendy) McKinney, Jr., of Wakeman, Patty Gorman, of Godley, TX, Angie Hembree, of Lorain; 8 grandchildren, Rachel, Samantha "Punky", Robert "Peewee", Emily, Victoria, Jessica, Levi and Tommy; and 4 great grandchildren, Liam, Mia, RJ (Robert Jr.) and Adalin.  In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; brother, Edward; sister, Nadine and grandchild, Nicky.
