Obituary

Robert Bryan "Bob" Richardson, 65, of Norwalk, died suddenly and very unexpectedly Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at home. He was born Dec. 29, 1959 in Sandusky, son of the now-deceased Quentin and Joyce N. (Speer) Richardson. Bob graduated from Perkins High School in 1978 and attended BGSU Firelands. He began his working career as a cook at Brown Derby restaurant in Sandusky and then joined Union Chain/U.S. Tsubaki in Sandusky, where he spent 23 years as a press operator. After that, he worked as a press operator at Lorain County Automotive Systems in Lorain for 10 years, retiring in 2023. Bob married the former Marla Collins on May 3, 1985 and they enjoyed 40 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted husband and good provider for the family. Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on Sept. 19, 1987, he served as an elder in the Norwalk Congregation for many years. Almost always displaying a smile on his face, he enjoyed encouraging his fellow believers. He also loved to read the Bible, attend meetings at the Kingdom Hall, and share his faith with others. Aside from his spiritual pursuits, Bob was passionate about cooking and grilling, and enjoyed sharing his culinary creations with others. He was a history buff, loved to laugh, and enjoyed fishing and playing cards. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Nicole R. and Joe Barnhouse of Collins, and Elijah A. and Candee White of Easley, S.C.; five grandchildren, Alex, Addison, Anna, Connor and Aiden; two great-grandchildren, Artemy and Atlas, with two more on the way; siblings, Ann M.
