Norwalk, Ohio - Robert P. Stein, 84, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Twilight Gardens Nursing Center. He was born March 15, 1933 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Walter and Marie (Riley) Stein and was a lifelong area resident. Bob was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a veteran or the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Robert Stein Excavating and worked with Stein Nursery with his brother. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen (Hirsch) Stein, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his son, Joseph (Amanda) Stein, of Columbus, Ohio, by his brothers, Joseph and Don Stein, by his sister in law Mary Alice (White) Stein, and by 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Stein, by his sister, Florence Stein and her twin brother in infancy, by his nieces, Donna (Stein) Yost, Kathleen (Stein) Saunders, by his nephew, John Stein, and by his sister in law Bernice (Divens) Stein. Friends may call on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
