Roger Blair

Roger Lee Blair, born September 19, 1955, in Willard, Ohio, passed away on September 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, friendship, and a devotion to his family and community.

Roger was the beloved son of the late Lee Blair and Julia (Westbrook) Blair. He was a brother to Nicki Blair and the late William Greenwood. Roger married the love of his life, the late Marsha (Seidel) Blair, on July 19, 1975. Roger was a loving father to Matthew (Rachel) Blair and Lindsay Valentine. He was a proud grandpa to Kaden Blair, Kenlea Blair, Ellie Valentine, and Nora Valentine. His family was his greatest pride and joy. He treasured his children and grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow, supporting them, and celebrating their accomplishments.

Roger was a proud 1973 graduate of South Central High School and a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University. He carried his pride in both schools throughout his life. He was a devoted supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the South Central Trojans.

Roger dedicated much of his life to helping others and serving his community. He helped start EMS services in Greenwich, Ohio, making a lasting contribution to the safety and well- being of the community. Roger spent years working as a laborer for R.R. Donnelly and as a healthcare administrator for Willard Healthcare Center. He was also deeply dedicated to helping others as a local EMT and captured life’s moments as a photographer.

His love for South Central Schools and its students was evident throughout his life. Roger proudly served as an athletic trainer for South Central Schools for many years. He supported countless student-athletes and was there for them through victories, losses, injuries, and everything in between. He later continued servicing the school as a substitute and provided sound for South Central musicals. Whether on the sidelines, in the classroom, behind the soundboard, or in the stands, Roger was always willing to lend his time and talents.

Roger was a friend to many and loved his community deeply. He built friendships wherever he went and left behind countless memories shared with family, friends, coworkers, students, athletes, coaches, and neighbors. His kindness, humor, generosity, Buckeye spirit, Trojan pride, and willingness to serve will be remembered by all who knew him.

Roger’s greatest legacy was the love he gave his family and the countless lives he touched through his service. Rest peacefully, Roger. Your love, your laughter, your service, and your Buckeye and Trojan spirit will live on in all those who were blessed to know you.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenwich United Methodist Church, 18 E Main Street, Greenwich, OH 44837.
