Roger W. George, 79, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. He was born on June 22, 1945, to the late James and Ethel (Weber) George in Rushville, Indiana.

Roger was graduate of Rushville High School and attended Johnson Bible College, where he met his wife of 59 years, Carol (Flatt) George. He served as a minister for over 60 years and was a member of First Church of Christ in Norwalk. Roger completed two Fame World Mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, where he got to share his love of the Gospel with others. He was also a member of Huron County Right to Life and the Republican Party. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his garden, watching and cheering on the Norwalk High School Basketball team, and his most cherished time was spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol George; his children, James (Kimberly) George, Janis George, and Joyce George; his siblings, Dennis (Kathy) George, James (Janet) George, and Robert George; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; his son, Andy George; sister, Donna Raginski, and brother-in-law, Tom Raginski.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. A Visitation will also take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the 12:00 p.m. (noon) Funeral Service at the Funeral Home.
