Ron Postema, age 72, of Plymouth, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield after a lengthy illness. He was born September 14, 1937 in Willard, Ohio. Ron had lived in Plymouth for the past 47 years. He was a 1955 graduate of New Haven High School. He had worked at Tech Form in Shelby where he retired in 1990. Ron was a member of the Willard Christian Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Pat (DeVore) Postema; his children, Robin Postema and her fianc' Arvel Johnson of Shelby, Randy (Debbie) Postema of Plymouth, Rhonda (Scott) Vanderpool and Rick (Jennifer) Postema all of Mansfield; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; his mother, Ruth (Danhoff) Postema of Willard; his siblings, Shirley (Bob) Stein of Plymouth, Sam (Sherry) Postema and Dave Postema and his friend Liz Lyons all of Willard. He was preceded in death by his father, John S. Postema. Friends may call from 2 ' 4 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Willard Christian Reformed Church, 4180 St.Rt. 103 South, Willard and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 3 at the church, with Elder Jim Grit officiating. Burial will take place at a later time. Memorials if desired may be given to the church or to the school.
