Ronald W. Allen, age 65, of Norwalk died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at his home following a two year battle with cancer. He was born in Norwalk to the late Donald and Norma (nee Huestis) Allen. Ronald spent most of life in the Fitchville and Wakeman. areas. Ronald worked at the former Ohio Body Manufacturing and for Cleveland City Forge in Wellington. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lucy (nee Deeley); three daughters, Dawn Allen, Ginger (Roderick) Swopes, both of Sandusky, and Cora (John) Pritt of Norwalk; two sons, Scot (Ginger) Allen of Denver, CO, and Jerald 'Bear' Allen of Huron; and eight grandchildren. Ronald is also survived by his brother, Terry Allen, of Greenwich. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Allen, in 1998. Friends will be received at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London on Thursday, March 27 from 5 pm until the time of memorial service at 8 pm.
