Ronald Eldon Caswell Sr., 80, a lifelong Wellington resident, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at MetroHealth in Cleveland. A son of the late Charles and Sarah (nee Smith) Caswell, Ronald was born on November 25, 1938 in Elyria. He worked at General Motors at both the Elyria and Parma locations. Ronald was a member of the Wellington Eagles Aerie #2051. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Turner Classic movies. Ronald was often found dancing at the Eagles many functions. Survivors include his children, Ronald Caswell, Jr., of Wellington, Bill (Julie) Schramm, of Wellington, Bob (Sharon) Schramm, of New London, Rick (Karen) Caswell, of Wellington, Betty (Dave) Irvan, of Wellington and Tony Schramm, of Wellington; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Charlene Caswell; 2 great grandchildren and his brother, Melvin. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018 from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. A private burial will be held at Brighton Cemetery.
