Ronald Allen Jones, 62, of Willard, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022, under the care of Stein Hospice. Born on April 13, 1960 in Elyria, he was the son of the late Ernest Eugene and Drusia (nee Fisher) Jones. Ron grew up in Greenwich and was a graduate of Mapleton High School.

Ron served briefly in the US Army before becoming a car salesman. A dedicated and hard worker, he sold for Brothers Chevrolet, in Wellington, for over 15 years and then for Sharpnack Chevrolet, in Willard, for 13 years. Ron was a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and playing pinball. Ron liked to travel, especially taking trips to different lakes or to the ocean, he also enjoyed trips to Disney World.

Survivors include his children, Jamie (Rami) Schaffer, and Rhonda Jones, both of New London; grandchildren, Lexi, Jayson, Kyrstyn, Xzavier, Izaiah, Jaxson, Klowey, and Maleah; and special friend Teresa Feltner. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son Tim Schaffer; brothers Rick, Jeff, and Cliff; and his former spouse and mother of this children, Darla Jones.
