Ronald Lee Slack, Sr., 83, residing in Norwalk, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, November 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was born on January 22, 1938 in South Webster, OH to the late Harry and Ruth (Hollback) Slack.

Ronald attended South Webster High School and was a dedicated employee for Lake Erie Construction for 50 years. He was an active member of 1st Baptist Church in New London. Ronald was very faithful to his Lord and Savior and set a great example for his loved ones. In his spare time, Ronald enjoyed listening to old music records, gardening, camping and traveling.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Mattie (Trusty) Slack, whom he married on March 25, 2000; son, Ronnie Slack, Jr. of Norwalk; step-son, Robert (Patty) Crase of Norwalk; step-daughter, Amy Crase of Milan; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and siblings, Melvin (Ruth Ann) Slack of Kingsville, OH, Elnora Blanton of Norwalk, Thelma Hale of Wheelersburg, OH, Paul (Fran) Slack of Norwalk and Marlene Slack of Norwalk.

In addition to his parent, Ronald was preceded in death by 4 siblings; Jean Stiles, Helen Hollback, Wanda Knight and Dale Slack.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11 am until the time of funeral services at 1 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
