Ronald E. Williams, 74, of Greenwich, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. He was born on July 13, 1941 in Shelby to the late David M. and Florence (nee Workman) Williams. Ronald grew up in Shiloh and was a 1959 graduate of Plymouth High School. He entered the Army in 1961 and served proudly until 1964. Ronald worked for Plymouth Locomotive from 1959 until 1969 when he left to start his own business which he ran until 1985. In 1986 he began working for Voisard in Shiloh and retired in 2008. Ronald was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ronald was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife of 50 years Ella (nee Shepherd); children Anita (Denny) Leisure of Plymouth, Louanna Williams, of Shelby, Ron (Shelley) Williams of Shelby, and David (Rosalyn) Williams of Plymouth; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Janet (Tom) Crawford and brother Robert (Ruth) Williams. Ronald was preceded in death by his brother Terry. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, November 17, from 12 p.m. until the time of services beginning at 1 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, 44837, Rev. Delmer Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
